Why settle for a 'cookie cutter' floor plan where design is not congruent with function? Lets take a closer look.
When considering how your home functions, do you think about a media room being your highest priority or your kitchen? Or both? Why is it these rooms are a priority? What activity do you do in these rooms? Can you incorporate further functions to support the activities? & so on.
What you 'want' for aesthetics, and what you 'need' to function, may very well be two very different things.
Often builders will provide floor plans that they are familiar with building. The moment you ask for an amendment in the floor plan, it may impose a cost to do so. Get clever about design and function.
